    Electrical Wire size requirement
Project is to wire a hobby shop and to determine appropriate electrical wire sizes required for service and wiring runs.
Shop is 40' x 60' and approximately 200-225 feet from the transformer supply. It is in a rural location. I have a two 200 amp service electrical box set now. One 200A service is to supply power to the main house which is under construction.
The second 200 amp service is for the shop. I had the transformer and power box set equal-distance from the shop and house locations.
The planned 200A service to for shop power requirements is planned to service a 240V Single phase 50A welder; 240V SIngle Phase 30A air compressor, shop light, 120V/20A work bench outlets, a car lift, etc… As it is just a hobby shop, these components will not all be in use at the same time.
I am planning the 200-225 foot run to the shop with 4/0 Aluminum in a 24" - 36" deep trench.
I would very much appreciate any advice you could offer regarding long run wire size, service panel and breaker recommendations. Thanks in advance!

What info are you looking for?
This is a very complex project, unless you are very experienced in doing electrical work please consider hiring this out to a pro.

200' is not very far for a service. The standard 4/0AL is sufficient.
Panel and breaker recommendations? Pretty much anything will work fine. Some will tout only SqD QO or Cutler-Hammer CH, but I am not one of them. Any name brand panel is fine.
