    Scared.
I have a heavy feeling in the lower part if my abdomen.. I was wondering if this could maybe be pregnancy. I'm 18 years old and sexually active but haven't had sex in about 9 days. We had sex on the day I ovulated so is it possible I could be pregnant? If not what could this be ?

Any fertile woman who has sex can get pregnant.
Symptoms do not accurately predict pregnancy, impending menstruation, skipped one, hormone fluctuations, illness, or just worry or wishful thinking.

Why did you have sex on the day you think you might have ovulated? That's the last time (mid-month) to have sex unless you are trying to conceive. No time is, actually, without birth control.

There would be no feelings or no signs of pregnancy after 9 days, it takes almost 3 for the sperm just to reach the egg.

While not all the time, often the first sign will be a missed period.

There is no way to even guess at this point, but it is possible

Not all women actively track ovulation. Tracking ovulation is done mostly by women who are trying to conceive by using basal body temperature or other means.

With that said, any time you have intercourse, protected or not, you risk pregnancy. Right now you are playing the waiting game. You will have to wait until your next period is due to find out whether you are pregnant. If it doesn't come as expected, wait two weeks. If it doesn't show up by then take a pregnancy test using first morning urine.

Thank you. The waiting game is very stressful. Being impatient doesn't halo much either.
