    Forced sale of joint property
    What can I do to stop a sale of my property owned by both my deceased ex husband . The judgement is on him and I was denied to intervene

    The ability of a creditor to sieze jointly held real estate property varies from state to state and also depends on how the property is titled. So: (a) what state is the property in?, (b) how is it titled (for example - joint tenancy, or tenants in common?), and (c) please specify the timing of the judgement against your ex - was it when he was still alive, or did it occur during probate of his estate?
