    No hallmark - just CT
I have inherited a 'gold' bangle with only 9CT stamped on the inside. Is it gold as there is no usual hallmark? I don't want to sell it but would like to know if it is genuine. It is solid and quite heavy.
    Any ideas?
    Many thanks

It does have some gold in it, but only around 37.5% (9 carats), the rest would be alloy metals which are used to harden your jewelry since pure gold is quite soft.
