    Notice by publication in va
I was recently granted an order of publication which will be running from tomorrow until 4 weeks from now. All of my paperwork has been turned in and I have filed everything by affidavits. My question is once the 4 weeks are up and the newspaper mails my paperwork back stating it is complete, is there anything else on my part that needs to be turned in besides this (of course) and my final decree? How long does it for my divorce to be finalized after I turn these things in? I won't have to go to court, will I-that's only if he contests it, right?

Notice by publication is used when the whereabouts of the other party are unknown and other forms of service haven't worked.

You will still have to go to court to get the final decree signed off by the judge.
