    Theft
    I stole $190 from my register at work. They gave me till Monday to pay it. I don't have the money. They told me the cops would be contacted if I didn't pay it. What penalty am I looking at?

    You'd be smarter to "find " $190. Otherwise a conviction will always follow you. Where is the $190 you stole?

    A typical result is a misdemeanor on your record, and a fine. The fine is usually restitution of the amount stolen, plus several hundred dollars in legal costs.
