    Credit card judgement
    I am in the process of selling my house in Oregon.I find out I have a credit card judgement on the tittle.The amount is inflated on top of it.I had no idea I had this judgement.I am 66 years old living on social security.I need the money from the sell to buy another home.Help... is there anything I can do?

    A lien must be cleared from the title.
    You should have known there was a judgement either by notice from the cc company or an attorney. The "inflation " is most likely interest and attorney fees. How much are we talking about?

    Check the court file with the clerk of court. Look and see how you were supposedly served with process. If the proof of service is incorrect (if, for example, a process server alleged that he or she handed you a summons at a particular address and date and you weren't living there at the time), move to set the judgment aside. Obviously, it would help to get an attorney to look into this for you.
