Sex is too overwhelming?
I am a female and have only been sexually active for the past 2 months, and I have not been able to have an orgasm. It starts to feel really good and I feel like I am going to have an orgasm, but then it gets overwhelming and I have to stop. After that I'm not turned on anymore and nothing seems to get me going again. This is super confusing, as I used to masturbate and I never had this problem when masturbating. What should I do differently?

You used to masturbate? You don't any more? How is it overwhelming?

I had a chronic masturbation problem so I stopped. When I say overwhelming I mean it's too pleasurable if that makes any sense.

It's hard to explain. It's like my whole body has this huge urge to move that is so strong I have to pull away.

Don't stop, just be overwhelmed. You may be getting off and don't know it.

Why not ride the wave and don't fight it?

It's like this uncontrollable urge to get up and run. I'd say it's like being a little kid being forced to sit too long until you just can't stay there anymore. It almost hurts.

Sounds about right. Just let it happen.

I tried to ride the wave and I swear it felt like I was going to pass out. I know it wasn't an orgasm because I had them when I used to masturbate. When I get physically overwhelmed it becomes impossible to enjoy.

How do you know? You haven't been at the end of "overwhelmed" yet.

I hate the feeling when I'm in the overwhelmed stage. It feels wrong. It doesn't feel good at all. I tried to ride it out and I nearly passed out. Maybe I'm hyperventilating?

How is your health? Do you have any heart or blood pressure problems? Does this overwhelmed feeling come about at any other time? The French term for orgasm is "la petite mort," the little death. Not that anyone wants you to literally die, and you know your body best of all. Maybe one or more of our medical people will weigh in.

I have no heart or blood pressure problems, but I do have diet problems. I'm a picky eater and I do not eat well. Lots of sugary foods and not enough healthy things like vegetables.

Also, the overwhelmed feeling only comes when I feel the buildup that would usually end in an orgasm.

How about just letting it happen one time?
