    Remove tower
An ex-friend asked us if he could put an amatur radio towner (3 sections) with coax on our property since he was selling his place in calif. That was over 10 months ago. For the last 2 months we have asked him to remove them. He has said he would the up coming weekend. So we'd stay home and wait no calls and didn't come over to pick them up. This has been countinous. What can we do. We've gone to the local sheriff's dept and they say it isn't a criminal matter. How can we dispose of this property. We are in the process of selling our place here and this is an eye soar.

    Hello t:

He isn't a tenant.. You don't have a written agreement with him. It's on YOUR property... You have NO obligations toward this person. Tell a scrap metal company to come get it.

First, its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread, Especially one that is several years old and has little to do with your question.

I would send the friend a letter stating that he needs to remove the tower in one week or your will start charging rent retroactive to when you asked that the tower be removed.

Also write in the letter that if the tower is not gone by the end of that week that you will feel free to do as Excon suggested: dispose of it.

State that you will start charging rent retroactive and will contract to have the tower removed at his expense.
