    Brakes are locking up
K so my 1990 civic dx has been having brake issues.. at first I figured it was something simple but now I've replaced both front calipers both of the from brake lines and the brake master cylinder.. the problem is the brakes are locking up
Today while driving the brake pedal had no pressure (ok so I have to bleed them).
But as I drove the brake pedal seemed to build up so much pressure that it wouldn't move at all... even without touching the brakes for miles... the caliper had locked up
I stopped and cracked the bleeder valve to to release the pressure and I was back to no brakes...
I'm out of ideas guys... PLEASE HELP

Are you sure that the rear brakes aren't the ones locking up?

Where did you do the last bleed that released it. All 4 wheels lock up?
I would suspect the master cylender with above info.

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder, prior to installation on the car? Did you adjust the master cylinder pushrod? The master cylinder pushrod-to-piston clearance must be checked and adjusted, if necessary, before installation. Bleed the brakes in this order: RR, LF, LR, and RF. Did you ensure the caliper pins were coated with silicone grease? Did the pads move freely, once installed in the caliper bracket? Did you properly lubricate the "ears" on the brake pads?

Master cylinder was bled yes... brake parts were lubricated yes... its on the front driver side caliper... after bleeding the brakes (yes in the correct order) brakes work fine for about 10 minutes of driving until pressure starts to build... tx monkey.. info on pushrod adjustment ?

Also, check brake pedal height adjustment, with floor mats removed. Should be 160mm. Adjustment is made to the pushrod locknut.
