Hey hun, sorry I'm answering your question so late but yes you can become an RN with a felony conviction, and obtain a job with one also. I am living proof. I was convicted of a felony assault in the 2nd degree in 2003. I went to nursing school, and obtained my RN license in 2012. I am now working as an RN in NYC. I also obtained a "Certificate of Relief from Disabilities," This certificate lifts the bars to employment. Employers have taken this into consideration that's how I am working. You can obtain this certificate by applying for it at the criminal court that took care of your case. Carry a copy of it with you when you apply for employment. It works for me all the time. Also You do not need a lawyer to get it. Call the your criminal court, and they will tell you where, and when to apply for it. I got it within a few months after applying. In order to get it, however, you have to have already finished your sentence. In my case it was 5 years probation.
