    Retaining Wall / Laneway...
Yes this is a project to begin after Spring Thaw 2014... Originally when the Laneway was widened and part of it was through the Ditch by the Road.. There was plenty of Aluminum Clover Pipe so it was just a matter of filling in with Stone.. They used 6 X 6 timber that was milled by a neighbor, now some 6 yrs later the timbers are showing signs of splitting & water saturation, plus the wall has a slight lean to it but there is a number of 8ft. steel fence posts sunk down below the frost line holding the wall up and from leaning any further.. From the top of the Wall down to the top of the Culvert Pipe is 4 1/2ft, top of the ditch from road to property is approximately 14ft... Ditch has your average slope on both sides... Sorry , now to the meat of my query.. As the laneway slopes slightly this way causing puddles to form from time to time.. Would pressure treated 6 X 6 timbers be sufficient or the ultimate fix pouring a cement retainer? Yes it's a Cost Thing... Thanks

How do I properly build a retaining wall/stucco wall with wood [ 1 Answers ]

Retaining Wall [ 1 Answers ]

I have a block retaining wall approx 1.5 metres in height and 12 metres in length. It was rendered and then painted. The paint and even some of the render is now flaking off (in some areas through to the scratchcoat) I suspect the blocks have no membrane down the back of them or a suitable...

Hello, I am going to be building a simple pole barn style shed, approximately 20 ft wide and 16 ft deep. The poles will be sunk into undisturbed soil, but the terrain where I want to place the shed slopes. The slope is about 3 feet over the 16 foot depth of the shed site. I'll be filling this...
