After replacing springs shower faucet won't turn off
I have a delta 1400 shower faucet that was leaking. I turned off the main water and replaced the cartridge. Based on online video I thought I did it correctly but after putting it it together and turning on the main water there is full water coming from the faucet and chaning the position of the lever lever doesn't turn the water off.
Its Sunday and it snowing outside and I have no water! Appreciate any advice.

Shut off the main and remove the new cartridge, compare it to the old one to be sure they are identical. Try reinstalled the old cartridge and then tell us what happened with the old one

Hot cold or both? Do it again. Make sure that the little rubber seals didn't fall out when you weren't looking. The ball probably has a pin sticking out that must fit in a groove in the body of the faucet.
