    Nj ny tax
    Hi
I am a resident of nj and worked in nj
In summer I worked in ny.
When I want to fill out form it 203 for ny
How much I should as my federal income.
    If I enter total income
There is not any place to fill out my nj tax
So it calculates ny tax based on my total income.
    Thank you so much

When filing NY, only include earned income from NY. Tax paid in NY will generate a credit on your NJ tax return.

Delite has it right, though I recommend you get professional tax help to make sure the credit is claimed correctly.
