    Form 1099-MISC = Used to report contract income, rent and "other income"

    Form 1099-INT = Used to report interest earned in bank and other savings account

    Form 1099-DIV = Used to report dividends

    Form 1099-B = Used to report Capital Gains transactions, such as sale of stocks, bonds, real estate and other capital assets

    Form 1099-C = Used to report cancellation of debt

    Form 1099-G = Two purposes: one is to report unemployment compensation and the other to report amount of state tax refund

    Form 1099-Q = Used to report Payments from Qualified Education programs such as 529 plans

    Form 1099-SA = Used to report distributions from HSA, Archer MSA or Medicare Advantage MSA

    Form 1099-R = Used to report distribution from retirement accounts such as 401K or IRA accounts

    Form 1099-OID = used to report Original Issue Discount interest
