    Small office cleaning
I did some browsing on here before posting this. Amazingly I knew that "piggybacking" was not the way to get an answer, or at least a desirable one at that.

    Now onto my questions :)

    Residence: Menominee, MI (UP)
    Age: 27
    Business Exp: None

I have been wanting to start my own small cleaning business for quite some years and funding has always been lacking. I have a foundry job now which I intend to use to fund my start up. I am going to have to do night cleaning, because I work second shift at the foundry. How much could I hope to earn cleaning small to mid size offices and restrooms six nights a week? I had also thought of cleaning gas station restrooms as well, seeing how they look gross anyway.

I need to be able to make $700 a week after taxes to leave my foundry job. Is this a possibility with just me cleaning?

I appreciate any feedback or constructive criticism.

    Thank you, Joe!

You better establish a base before leaving. You will need commercial insurance and bonding $$$ Have you investigated cost? $700 after is about $1,000 before, $200 per day. Who buys cleaning materials, truck?

Ill be buying cleaning materials to start, but when I start bidding I will incorporate materials into the cost. I do not have a truck per say, but I will be using my personal 2003 suburban until I can buy another personal vehicle for myself.

I figured id keep working the foundry job until my cleaning business started making me some good money. At least enough to match my current paychecks. I will be buying all necessary supplies and insurances beforehand. Is $1000 per week too much to expect for one person to make cleaning within the first six months to first year of start up?
