Hissing sound from the basement bathroom
It sounds like the toilet is running from the basement but it is not. I turned off the water line from the house and the sound stopped, also I noticed the basement concrete floor have two very warm spots that is getting hotter under the washing machine

That indicates that there is a hot water line underneath the basement floor and that it is leaking. This piping is probably from the water heater to the washer.

I agree but it is unlikely that a water heater in the basement would be piped under the slab going to a washer in the basement. Can yiou trace the hot water line to and from the washer, it would normally go up the wall and be piped overhead.

I agree with Bob that it would be unusual for hot water pipe to go under basement slab. But you did say it was warm. Also after giving it a little thought, I don't think you would hear the hissing sound of a leak if it were under the slab. Could a hot water pipe be leaking in the wall and the water being soak up by the concrete?

You could verify that it is a hot water leak by leaving the main valve on and closing the cold water stop valve to the water heater.

Open up your water meter and check the below pointer. If it's moving day. Shut the cold water supply off to the heater. You have a leak in the hot water pipe in the slab. The problem is that you don't know what that pipe feeds so you can't simply And off and run a new one. I see no other way than to open up the slab and repair the leak. Good luck, Tom
