    Shower Head Leak
I have a delta one handle bathtub faucet. It has the pull down at the spout to turn on the shower. When the water is turned off I still get intermittent drips from the shower head.
    How do I correct this?

If these drips continue for more than a few monments after shutting off the water you may have a bad mixing valve. It is not sealing in the off position completely. The valve is replaceable if you can't clean out the debris. If you need instructions on how to remove the cartridge write back. After removing the knob you will probably figure it out. Remember to closde you main and release the pressure.

As I understand your question, you are running the tub and getting residual dripping from the shower with no intention of water coming from the shower. If this is so, your shower may not be high enough or not enough restriction or some restriction in the spout or the piping to the spout. It takes a long time to unscrew that spout but it is sealed by an o ring so feel free to remove it. It should be hand tight. Check for obstruction in the spout and run the tub with the spout off to see if you have unhindered flow with the spout off. Also you may decide to add a personal shower with a hose to increase the resistance to the shower.

Both Doug and balgerger gave you good advice but to answer your question.

Your Delta doesn't have a cartridge. You need to change out the seats and springs, #7(see image). Something to think about. Some showerheads hold water in them and drain after the shower valve's turned off. I know mine does. More questions? I'm as close as a click. Tom
