    Where is the receiver located in a Halsey fan? My remote is mod. UC7040
    I have a remote control UC7040. I don't know the name of my fan as we have had it for 20 yrs. On the back of the remote, it says it is to be used on Halsey fans, models HC, HP, and HG. The remote will operate the fan just fine, but will not operate the light. Does this sound like a receiver problem? If so, and if it is a Halsey fan, where is the receiver located on the fan? Also, is there any place on the fan that tells what kind of fan it is? All I know is I bought it from Dan's Fan City here in Knoxville, Tn. But they are no longer located here, and I have misplaced my paperwork. Thank you for your help.

    99% of them are located under the hanger cover at the ceiling.
