    Scent receptors
I grew up with pointing breeds and I have recently converted to a Labrador, but I had question about Labradors sense of smell. So I tried to look up whichs breeds had the highest scent receptors, but could find nothing. With all the studies out there this has to be one of them. Has anyone ever came across this information??

Honer, if you have done research, then you know all dogs have at least 200 million scent receptors. From what I have come to understand through my reading, it is believed that Beagles and Bloodhounds have some of the highest amounts of scent receptors out of all the breeds. Exactly how many more they have than others, I do not know. I am not aware of any absolute scientific studies that will pinpoint exactly which breed has the highest scent receptors.
