My Sewage Ejector Pump keeps getting plugged with toilet paper
Hello, My Sewage Ejector pump in my basement has been plugging up with toilet paper, like once a month lately. I keep just opening where the wires go into the pump and pulling all the toilet paper off the float, but a month later it plugs again. Help anyone? I'm really tired of having my showers interrupted by back ups.

Thank you for any answers in advance!

What you are probably going to have to do is remove the cover, loosen the coupling between the pump and the outgoing pipe, twist the pump such that the incoming is not dumping directly on the pump and float.

Totally agree with Hkstroud. When you open the unit and then go to replace the cover back to the basin pit you may either want to purchase a new gasket for the cover, or at a minimum, use some flexible silicone sealant to keep any sewer gas leaks and/or sewer gas odors from developing!

Sewage ejector pump [ 5 Answers ]

I think my sewage ejector pump may be bad. The fuse for the pump popped and when I re-set the breaker, the ejector pump turns on for several seconds and then the breaker pops again. Does that mean the pump is gone bad or do I have an electrical problem.
