    State select water heater
I have a State Select hot water heater. It shut off and water got cold. I called the
Gas company and they sent a guy who confirmed the gas was on. All he did was pull out the electricity plug and put it back in. The heater came on immediately. Over the month this situation has happened several times. I pull the plug and plug it back in and it starts to heat the water. What is wrong with the hot water heater?
It is very inconvenient (no hot water) when this happens. What do I need to do
    To fix this??

I would guess you could have a dirty flame sensor which looks like a platinum spark plug with a straight electrode. Clean the rod with fine sandpaper and see if that cures it. Look at this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...ter_heater.pdf
