Just fitted a bar thermostic shower but there is a back pressure going up too my tank
Hi just fitted a new thermostic bar shower and I found my cold water tank in the roof was running out of the overflow, I found that there was water entering the tank via back pressure from the shower because as soon as I turned the water of to the shower it stop .Can someone help please as I don't understand the problem

We have 2 levels in the house with 2 water heaters. Hot water & pressure is fine to the entire house (including the upstairs bathroom sinks), however, recently we lost both hot water & pressure to the 2 upstairs showers.
Is it advisable to have a shower unit fitted with a platform underneath so that if there were a leak it could be got to easily. I would be very grateful for anyone's views as to how important a platform would be. Pam
