    Renounce Egyptian Citizenship
    Hello,

I currently live in the United States. I have U.S citizenship. I'm trying to obtain a position that the agency does not allow/does not prefer dual citizenship.

I was born in Egypt and came to the U.S when I was very young.

I went to the Egyptian embassy and they made me fill some forms and gave me a document stating that my request has been sent to officials in Egypt to be approved. The person told me it will take 5 month to process it!

What is a faster way to renounce my Egyptian citizenship?

How about talking to the hiring agency, if they do not "prefer" merely show them the documents that you have applied, and that should be enough.

I did show them but still I'm a dual citizen and will have to wait until I get the approval from Egypt.

If anyone else have any suggestion please let me know.
