    Hinge placement on kitchen cabinets
I am aware of the rule of thirds when positioning pictures on a wall and positioning the main subject in a picture. My question has to do with placement of 2 hinges on rectangular doors on kitchen cabinets. Is there a formula to use that places them in the ideal location from a purely aesthetics/artistic perspective?
I am locked in a prison called "perfectionist" and while I'm able to possess head knowledge of things I'm unable to apply any of it to the real world. I tried the Google runaround with very little help. Is there someone out there with an artistic mind who can help? Thank you

With blind hinges, ones you can't see when door is closed, does not matter but usually set at 2 to 3 inches.

If using surface mounted, would depend on type and size of hinge. You would work off wall cabinet because they are more in line of vision.
