Loss of hot water in house
I am a senior citizen and live in an older home. Hot water heater is getting older. However, when I turned on the hot water in my tub the other night, I noticed a very reduced pressure. The water appeared to be hot after it dribbled for a while. Then I turned on the sink faucet in the bath as well as the kitchen sink hot water faucet and there was also reduced pressure. This just happened suddenly. Can you tell me where I should begin. I went and bought a new hot water heater but I am not sure that is the problem. I can't find any leaks.

Over the past couple of months, we have lost our hot water pressure. Cold is fine, but the hot is weak---it is a nuisance for showering but also we can't load the top rack of our dishwasher because the dishes do not get clean. Is this a hot water tank issue??
