How so?. I have not seen ANY LED replacements for home use that are even close... the brightest ones you are going to find in a store right now emulate a 75 - 85 watt incandescent bulb. Commercial applications might... but I'm not as familiar with them.
I do have an outside flood light that is a 50 watt LED ( think it's a 150 watt equivalent) but it's a lot bigger than a toaster (a lot for heat dissipation) and is self contained, Not something that fits any existing fixture. ( nope not at all impressed with it either at the cost)
And I'm an Electronic Engineer that has been keeping his eye on these. Mostly because I have a lot of large wildlife that frequently trips my motion detector equipped floodlights that would put a dent in the electric bill...
I look at how much is it going to save me in electric bill costs... over its life.
