First gyno visit
Hello, my name is Izzie. My daughter is 14, and I got a email from my gyno saying that he would like to take at look at my daughter's up and down parts. My daughter is totally fine with this. But I want to know exactly what they are going to do to her.

Is your daughter sexually active? If she isn't, I question why the doctor feels the need to check her "up and down parts" at the age of 14.
You're female, her mom. You should know what's involved with a full physical. Why are you asking what they'll do? You should be going in yearly to have the same thing done to you. How can you not know?

Sorry, I just thought that it might be different for her. A friend's Mom had her daughter go, because there was something wrong with her periods. She said that they do a different exam to younger girls.

Exams are basically the same, has she been having some problems you discussed with gyno ? How does the gyno, no you have a 14 year old daughter, why would they be sending a letter to make an appointment ?

I also have to ask, why is the Gyno wanting to do this exam? Nowadays women really don't need to undergo yearly pap smears until they're sexually active.
Is your 14 year old sexually active? If so, how did your Gyno know this?

Are you the mother, or are you really the 14 year old? I question because of your terminology of "up and down parts."
Also, a GYN is not going to send an email to a patient in order to schedule appointments for other family members.
At 14 there is no need for an appointment of this kind unless you are sexually active.
