Yes, did you not check out the apartment, inspect it prior to moving in ?

You have to notify them of the problem, and work with correcting it.

Yes I looked through the apt. And asked many questions before moving in. She told me there were NO mice roaches or any other infestation problems. She lied. I've been here for ten days and I think I've only sleep for three. My first night I saw so many roaches I was in shock. I told her and she just said "I don't have any in my apartment and I live right above you. I've bombed twice spent almost a hundred dollars in insect killers and the apartment is infested still. It's disgusting. I sleep with every light on in the house but most nights I'm pacing back and forth killing roaches all night. I just killed one in my daughters bed. My landlord told me she can't afford an exterminator but told me "I could get one if I want". I'm so angry, so disgusted. Why should I have to pay to live like this?

Tell landlord you will be glad to get one and merely take that price off next months rent.

She left for brazil yesterday for the next 6 months. And I'm sitting here with a flip flop in my left hand at 2 in the morning killing roaches. I'm so angry. How can a landlord just lie. Aren't they obligated to tell you the truth about the apartment your paying for? Also none of the five electrical sockets in my bedroom work and woman told me I'm going to have to wait until she gets back from Brazil to fix it because it's just too much money for her right now. Why didn't I know all this before I moved myself and two kids into this house.
