    Chest pain
I have been having chest pain off and on for almost 2 weeks. Not crushing or squeezing but more of an ache. Started as pain my my shoulder blades and arms. Has gotten worse. I also have a touch of anxiety. Had anxiety over the same symptoms in April when I went to the er. They said it was stress and exhaustion. But that was in April. I don't feel right. Sometimes I get a slight zing of pain in my jaw and neck but never lasts. At times feels like my heart flutters. No burning sensation just ache. Like I was beaten up. I am a 25 year old female. Obese. Family history of heart attacks and heart disease. I myself had high blood pressure.

Please go back to the ER.

We cannot take the necessary tests on your blood such as Troponin, Myoglobin, PT, PTT, etc. Only the ER can do that.

What has your doctor said about this? What tests has he/she done? There's really no way to diagnose you online, we can guess, but that list will be a mile long. Better to get an actual diagnosis from your doctor.

As a nurse, I can advise you that chest pain is considered a medical emergency. Please get help in person and not online.

I was in the er in April. When I was released they said it was stress and exhaustion. It is now September and the symptoms have returned as I have stated above. I have no insurance and no regular doctor at the moment. A friend of mine whom is an emt has said it sounds like stress due to what the er said the first time. But something feels different.

There's really nothing we can do to help. You have to go to the ER. A visit in April has no bearing on now.

What you need to do is go to the ER. What happened in April may be different than what is happening now.

You have high blood pressure, you are obese, etc. You were lucky once, will you be lucky this time?

April was 5 months ago, many things change in 5 months.

If you came to my ER, I would immediately get a EKG, have you chew some aspirin, get blood work to include heart attack markers such as Troponin, Myoglobin, PT, PTT, CBC, CMP, CRP, etc. I can't do that here. You can't bleed on your keyboard and expect me to test your blood.

Yes, it may be anxiety, but would you rather be sent home knowing it's anxiety, or maybe pneumonia, or would you rather end up in an intensive care unit on life support? That's up for you to decide. There is nothing else we can do here.
