Last week I broke my big toe, went to the doctor and had it x-rayed. It showed a horizontal and vertical break in the second bone of my big toe (not the one behind the nail but the one below that). I've never broken a bone before and can't tell if what I'm feeling is normal for a broken bone to feel. Its been tingly and stiff and squeezed feeling for the last 3 days and I don't know if that's normal. Its like pins and needles but just in my toe. The feeling doesn't go anywhere else and I wonder if this is how a broken toe is supposed to feel when it's healing. It spasms sometimes too and I'm afraid it'll move by itself and create excruciating pain. I've been following doctors instructions and have kept it elevated, iced and resting. I've got crutches to help me walk and a clumpy sandal they gave me to keep it straight.

It feels squeezed because it is swollen.
