Humming noise in our house every morning
For the past few mornings we have been hearing a humming noise which begins about 6:20 A.M. and lasts for about 2 or 3 minutes. Our master bathroom wall backs up to our kitchen wall. The sound is the loudest in that wall. In the kitchen the double oven and refrig. Are on that wall, but when listening to each appliance the sound does not seem to be coming from either one. In the master bathroom we have had intermittent problems with the toilet continuing to run after flushing. Jiggling the handle seems to fix the problem. My husband thinks the noise could be related to the toilet (which is located against the opposite wall that the noise comes from). Our sprinkler/drip system is set to go on at 6:30 A.M. each morning. By 6:30 A.M. the noise has stopped. I'm thinking that the noise could be related to the sprinkler system. Also, my husband has been trying to find a leaking pipe outside in our yard, but hasn't determined where it is yet. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Turn off the toilet and sprinkler system before going to bed. Hear the noise? If not, just turn one off and see what happens.
