    Why was that?
There was a man who lived on the 30th floor of a high rise apartment building.

Everday he would get ready for work, walk out of his apartment and to the elevator.

He would push the down button and wait for the elevator.

Once on the elevator he would push "1" for the first floor.

On the first floor he would leave and go to work.

Everday when he came home from work, he would enter the apartment complex, walk to the elevator, push the up button and wait for the elevator.

When the elevator arrived he would get on, the doors would shut, he would push "15" and get off at the 15th Floor and walk up 15 flights to get to the 30th floor to his apartment.

    Why was that?

Maybe he just wanted the exercise of walking up the flights of stairs.

Although he didn't have to walk the remaining 15 flights on days it was raining and when someone else was in the lift. He was fine to get to the 30th floor on those days.

And why is that you ask??

    Because he was a Dwarf...

This is a question that was commonly asked to aspiring detectives... They had to try and figure it all out to show they had good thought processes.

You see when someone else was in the lift he could ask them to push the button for him and on days it was raining he had his umbrella.

Quite ingenious. I like when people ask this because it gives me a chance to pretend to be smart.
