Okay so if you've seen my most recent question you'll know about this guy I like. If not, in short there's this guy I like and I think he might like me back.

Otherwise to the actual question: homecoming is next weekend and I was hoping he'd ask me, but no luck yet (and as far as I know he hasn't asked anyone else). My mom was telling me to just ask him to homecoming over Facebook, but I don't like this for two reasons:

1. It seems kind of weird for a girl to ask a guy to homecoming.
2. A Facebook invitation seems less impressive than an invitation in person.

It's really getting down to the wire so I ask you guys: should I ask this guy to homecoming??

Additional info:
We are both going to a band competition that evening so we wouldn't have to make dinner reservations or anything since we won't get back till late. Also, during school we don't have any classes together, and we only see each other after school. Finally, I don't have his phone number and I could probably find his e-mail of FB but I'm not sure if he uses it a lot, and it would seem even more weird to me if I somehow knew his e-mail without him ever telling me.
