2yr old with fever and no energy
My daughter is 2yrs old and has had a fever for now 5days and sleeps more than is awake. Went to the doctors and they said she was just dehydrated and had a virus. If so then why hasn't her fever gone away? And why do I have to wake her up to eat and drink? And why does she have no energy? Help please.

The doctor said she's dehydrated and sent you home?

How high is her fever? What are you giving her for the fever? What did the doctor prescribe?

Dehydration can be deadly in a child this young.

As for why she has no energy. Have you ever been sick? Have you ever had a fever? Have you ever been dehydrated? Did you feel like running around and playing then? I doubt it.

You have to wake her up to eat and drink because she needs food to live, and she especially needs fluids because she's dehydrated. That's pretty much a DUH!
