Hi I am on the pill and have been for the past 5 years, I've never missed a period but this month I am 8 days late, getting frequent headaches, cramping in my stomach and eating a lot and have been getting a lot of milky white discharge, I went to the doctor on my 5th day late and did a urine sample and it came back negative! Am I pregnant? I'm so bloated never missed a period can anyone help please?

Maybe its because you are supposed to wait 14 days before you test. Try again when you are 14 days late and see if its still negative.

Thanks I wasn't aware u had to wait 14 days my doctor never told me, she just told me I would be fine that I would bleed in a few days but still nothing thanks for your help

Early Positive results are credible... but early negatives are not... because the tests look for a certain hormone... and when testing early its possible its just not at a detectible level yet.

You take the test first thing after you wake up... the very first time you pee in the AM... or you wait until the next morning. That's when it will be most concentrated and detectible.

Yeah I know I've been reading this online, I went to the doctors quite late in the day and actually had peed a lot because I was so nervous, she wasn't very helpful to be honest, I'm just going to wait a few weeks and test again.
