    Can you change freezer that uses R504 to R22 and it still freeze food?
    I bought a 4 section freezer from a Food World that went out of business. The system originally used R504. If I change the solenoids can I change it to R22 and it still get cold enough to freeze meat?

    504 is a mixture not containing any 22, 22 is straight. Might be more than just the valves, not sure how evaporator, compressor and condenser would work.

Holiday Freezer will not freeze [ 2 Answers ]

I have a feezer that will not work. About three years ago I moved and I did not have a place for it. I unplugged it and stored it. Well about a week ago I tried to start it up but it will not freeze. It has been working for years before I stored it. It sounds like it is running. Any ideas??

Our freezer is working for the most part. It blows cold and things like veggies are frozen, however some things will not freeze... popscicles, Ice Cream, you know the much needed stuff in the freezer. :) Any thoughts? Thanks!
