Hi I am 22 years old, doing my graduation. I have a problem with my mother and elder brother. My mom trusts my elder brother a lot, she never trusts me in anything only because I drink and go parties. I’m not alcoholic but they think like that.

My elder brother is taking advantage and playing with my feelings. He is stealing things from home and blaming it on me, and lately they are giving me mental torture. I’m seriously not understanding what to do with my life. It’s becoming day by day miserable. I’m getting suicidal thoughts. I’m not understanding what to do. I’m going mad but still they have put me aside being in one home. Also I’m feeling like alone.

Please suggest something, as I’m studying and don’t have enough money so that I could live separately because at least my mom and brother would be happy and maybe even me. They aren’t listening to me and giving me mental torture.

If you live under your parents' roof, and they don't like you drinking and partying, you shouldn't. It's as simple as that. It doesn't matter how old you are - they are paying for all of it.

When are you done with school, and can go out in the world, get a good job, and your own place to live?

Relax, you have so many worries on your mind and have no control over them at this time. You must stay cool, calm, and collected and in control of yourself and get through this emotionally bad time for you.

You are in transition from student to the real world and that's scary to some and makes all the small stuff look bigger than what it really is so just relax and do what you can for yourself, BESIDES drinking a parting with your friends because its time to be a FULL adult.

Look around and be grateful you even have a family that loves and supports you even if they do get on your nerves sometimes. Whose family doesn't? Take it in stride and focus on things you can control, like your actions and attitudes, and the things you cannot control, the actions and attitudes of others, leave it alone.

Be good to yourself and others, even if they can't be as good as you want them to be.

You can enjoy life after college and get a job, you can even spend your own money without any worries because its yours. Don't get things seriously. Your doings are really wrong, don't have to wonder about they're attitude, they are just reacting againts the wrong things that they see. Try to make yourself busy in much important and worthy things. Give respect so you will also be respected.
