    How long ?
    How long should I wait to contact a guy after deciding that we are just going to be friends ? They say the more you ignore them the more they want you is this true ?

    Not really... at some point they decide you aren't worth bothering with then go find someone that is interested.

    Playing hard to get only works for a little bit.

    If you only wanted to be "Friends" then why does it matter?

    The longer you ignore them, the more likely they are to find someone else and forget about you.

    It may be OK for a week, but after a while, they lose interest.

    If you just want to be friends, just tell them, clear up the issue and go on with life.

    If you just want to be friends then you contact him like you would any friend.

    If you are trying to use it as a ploy to get him interested in dating you again, move on with your life and leave him alone. Why waste energy on someone who has already put you in the 'friend' category?

    You will only trip over your own feet if you keep looking backwards.
