THere is no cure for the common cold yet (its a virus)... all you can do is minimize its symptoms and ride it out.

Basically make sure you drink enough water and you will be over it in 3-10 hays.

    IF you have a cold:
    1. Tons of liquids, very weak/watered down ones, warm or lukewarm.
    2. A decongestant, of which there are countless kinds in your drugstore.
    3. A saline nasal spray, also in your drugstore.
    4. Warmth and rest - a scarf around your neck, stay away from windy dust and dirt, etc.
    5. In very dry times, a humidifier.
None of the above are any good without # 1.

IF you have allergies: first try Benedryl or other anti-histamine. Then go to an allergy specialist. If you are allergic to dust or mites, you need to learn all the ways to reduce those things in your home.

IF you have neither of the above, see an ENT, ear-nose-throat specialist.

It is a little tea pot used to help clear the sinuses with saline. Essentially you tip your head to the side, put the spout in your top nostril and poor until it runs clear through your bottom nostril. Turn your head and repeat.
