My dog peed in his sleep
I have a 7 yr old pug mix, male and fixed. Last night he peed in his sleep. This is the first time he's done it and nothing else seems to be wrong with him. Aside from last night he's acting normal and peeing outside normally. What could be wrong?

There's really no way to tell you why this happened.

If he's acting normally today, he may just have had an accident, it can happen to the best of us. You're in a deep sleep, and don't wake up when you feel the urge to pee.

But that's just a guess, which is all we can do online.

It's best to take him to your vet, get him checked. It could be a UTI. If so, the earlier you catch it the easier it is to treat, and the cheaper too.

Is my dog getting enough sleep? [ 2 Answers ]

I have a six year old husky/pitt mix dog (age is relative and breed is a best guess). He doesn't sleep very much and I am worried that it might be contributing to his "neurotic" personality. He is a VERY healthy dog, despite one medical allergy to steroids. He does sleep at night, but he is the...

Dog peed in house- concerned [ 4 Answers ]

I have a 4 yr old housebroken Pomapoo. Today, I caught him peeing on the floor in the kitchen. I yelled no, I tried tapping him on the rear, even lifting him up... and he just kept going. He didn't lift his leg, he was squatting down, so I don't think he was marking territory. He knows better. ...

Any way to get a dog to sleep in? [ 5 Answers ]

My dog ALWAYS wakes me up at exactly 7am EVERY morning. I don't even have to set an alarm. Well... today started daylight savings time. Which means she wakes me up at 6am. Its also very annoying on the rare day I get to sleep in. Any ideas about how to get her to sleep later?
