Why do I still feel sleepy after wisdom tooth extraction
Hi, I have had 4 wisdom teeth removed in hospital under a general anesthetic on Thursday 15th , its now only the 18th but I still feel absolutely sleepy and walking around like a zombie with lack of concentration. As I were the minute I woke out of it!
I have a course of anti biotic, and taking a non drowsey pain killer which I stopped taking only till I sleep in case this is effecting me!

Any thoughts on this? Is this normal recovery?

Everyone is different. Also by being put out then your sleep patern has been tweaked. So long as there is no infection then you should be OK in a few days. Also please eat properly. If you don't feel like chewing then at least drink protein shakes like ensure.

Yep.. It's a normal one, its just because of fear about dry socket.. Take rest awhile.. After 1week your normal life will be resumed..

Hi, I've stopped taking the pain killers I think I feel abit better (day 5) I have been eating quite a lot surprisingly . Limited to opening my mouth if course. I tried driving to work yesturday morning . That was a no no, 10 minutes down the road I turned back and went to bed!
I do worry about a dry socket. I have been very careful in how I consume things and rinse my mouth out with warm salt water.
Thanks for the quick reply guys! Appreciated a lot
