She said this "......I'm gonna be honest. I thought I liked you but I never felt the same type of like that I did with other guys. I'm sorry if I led you on....but I like you a little. But not as much I have with others. When my friend told you I was kinda surprised she did and she was trying to help me get over my ex. And I honestly thought I was over him. But I'm just not. And I think the best thing for you to do right now would be to move on. Because I don't know if I'm ever gonna be ready for me and you to date. I understand if you're mad at me for now. But I'll always wanna be friends. Trust me, it's better I do this now then later on." But her friend says she always talks about and she wouldn't tell me what's wrong because she didn't want me to worry I changed the names though

Sounds like she hasn't been broke up with the ex long enough to want to jump into another relationship.

It's been 5 months since her break up. Her friend said that I should do it 3 weeks ago I asked her yesterday and it was the first day of school. I also forgot to mention we are really good friends

It sounds like she is comparing, which really doesn't give you a chance as long as she can't let go of the past.

So we've been talking normally lately and honestly no matter how much I try to not think about her I can't I'm just so confused because she sends mixed signals like she always smiles and blushes when she is around me she's sad and always talks to me and calls me her best friend also

Of course she is on your mind because you still talk to her and want her back. But all she want from you is time and attention, when she wants it, on her terms.

She isn't sending mixed signals, they aren't the ones you want and its you confusing yourself.

She's not sending mixed messages, she is telling you that you are her best friend. You are just not liking what she's telling you.
