While working on a problem with my dishwasher, I turned off the water valves under the sink, hot and cold. After repair, I turned the valves back on and checked the faucet. Black water came out of the faucet with normal pressure and quickly cleared. About an hour later, I had no water pressure in the kitchen. I checked the valves and they were turned on. I checked the aerator and removed the faucet handle (Moen). No obstructions. I woke up to a leak in the cold water valve and water under the sink. I have no idea what to do from here.

Colleen, the blockage is somewhere between your angle stop and faucet. You will have to remove water supplies at the faucet connection and crack-open angle stop to see if water runs through. If it does than concentrate on the faucet itself. If you have pull-out spout than there is back flow preventer built into the base of the handle. Unscrew handle from the hose and look inside for debris. Flush it under running water and reinstall. See if that helps. Back to you. Milo

I can be anywhere in the house and hear a drip with an echo-tone to it. It's fairly rhythmic - it drips maybe every 15 minutes. The hot water heater floor is dry, the toilets and sinks aren't leaking. Any ideas?
