    Sponsoring A Nanny from the Philippines
    Hi everyone, I am trying to bring a nanny from the Philippines to look after my two children. I have run into some snags when it comes to my sponsorship of her. Any advice on the most quick way to go through this process?

    You would be required to pay them the same as anyone here... meaning you can't pay Philippine wages here just because you sponsored them.

    It also helps to know what country you are in because every country has its own set of requirements and procedures.

    And the best way, is always hire an immigration attorney to do all paper work for you and represent you at any hearings

    What country? For US, nanny is not a job qualified for work visa.

    It depends which Country you are from... In Canada the 'Live-in Caregiver' Program is typically the category used by most nannies (or other care workers). In the US they have the 'Au Pair' exchange program which under the J-1 visa category.
    What type of snags are you encountering?
    I have seen some things in the news lately regarding the Canadian Caregiver Program that might be causing some snags (if you are writing from Canada! ).
