    Birth control not covered
My insurance used to cover my birth control and it was free but I just refilled my prescription and now they won't cover it anymore and its $33 a month. I can't afford that. I have an appointment with my gyno in a few weeks and was going to talk to him about switching birth controls anyway and now ask him if there is a cheaper one out there. But in the mean time should I go and get my prescription or wait until I see him and get my new birth control. **I have only been on because for 4 months

That's very strange that they suddenly stopped covering it, my understanding is that with obamacare, all birth control must be free with insurance. I'd say call your doctor's office now and have the doctor or a nurse send in a prescription for a generic, which should presumably be covered. You could also call your insurance and find out the issue and/or complain until they pay for it. But if you're not worried about pregnancy or a medical condition you were using the pill to treat, there is no problem with suddenly stopping the pill.

At $33 its still probably covered but with a co-pay.

But, as noted, unless you need to take it for a medical condition then stop until you see your doctor. Of course you need to refrain from intercourse or use other forms of protection until the new prescription.
