    New job offer
I received a new job offer from my management. I received a follow up phone call from him to confirm we were moving forward.
2weeks past. I sent emails asking how might prepare. I didn't receive a response. I had a call set up to speak with the director of my department and the manager that made the offer was added to the call. When I joined the call not only was the offer taken back my skills were be questioned. It was strongly suggested I move to another department and not make any inquires as it would make things worse. What should I do? Thank you

I can't see that there is anything you can do. Job performance and promotions are pretty much determined by company policy, not labor law in any country I know of. You've been warned not to ask questions, so that's that. Sometimes there are very unfair reasons for such events, such as your department head being bitter that you would leave for a better position. Maybe you pursued it the wrong way after the offer. No way to know.

Hello: Before I start blasting the right wingers for saying Obama broke the law, could you tell me if he DID break the law? What he did was offer Sestak a job IF he didn't run against Arlen Specter. I know a LITTLE bit about the law, but I can't see where something wrong happened here. ...
