How long does it take to sponsor my married / unmarried children?
I am a citizen of the united states, I lived here for 23 years. I plan to sponsor my children who are unmarried and married. How long would it take for them to arrive? I forgot to mention that I am trying to sponsor my son's family, which includes his son and spouse. Oh, and they are citizen of vietnam. Thanks!

I might take a very long time depending on the country they are from. (Quotas)

Example... I have one friend that's been trying for the last 12 years for her adult son to be issued a Visa... and still no luck.

Painful yes... frustrating yes... but also necessary. It might be more or less lengthy depending on their nationality. Because of annual quotas based by country. But the process won't start until you apply. So don't delay.

Its done like a lottery... so there is always a chance of getting lucky.

Yes, best bet is to hire a immigration attorney, but it can take a long time. And sometimes still rejected.

It depends on age and status of your children, and the fact that your income can cover all of them or not.

For married sons/daughters, it takes about 12-13 years. For unmarried sons/daughters over 21 years of age, it takes approx 6-7 years.
