    I have a bulge on my left knee that is causing a lot of pain.
    I am a 29 yr old female living in Kansas City MO, and I have a squishy like bulge on my left knee cap, I can't put any weight on it and I can barely stand on it, and the burning and throbbing pain its sendng down my shin is barely tolerable, I am not sure what I need to do. I have tried heat and ice, I have tried elevating it, I have tried ibuprofen and nothing seems to be helping, it is gradually getting worse and I am concerned. This issue started a few yrs ago but there was no pain, I saw a dr and they said it was just a pulled muscle but it never went away.

    Why haven't you gone back to that same Doctor or gone to a second? This sounds terribly uncomfortable and disabling. You need to see a Physician.

    I no longer live in the state where I saw the Dr.. I also have no insurane or means to pay for health care.

    Go to a hospital ER. No health insurance is needed for an exam, testing, and treatment.
