    Generator help
    Hi there.

Well, I made the mistake of trying to be helpful!

We have a little 850 2 stroke generator to run our cool box and maybe a light which it copes well with. Unfortunately on a recent trip our neighbor had problems with his battery so I said he could plug in to charge it, but while he was charging his wife plugged in her hair straighteners or dryer and fried my little amp.

I'm thinking possibly the capacitor has packed up but not really sure how to test or what else might have gone.

    It's a wolf 850w genni.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm loath to just bin it and buy a replacement but if that's going to be the best option then so be it.

    Cheers

Most of the portable generators I've seen have had circuit breakers... are you sure this doesn't have one you missed?

    Hi,
Where was it made? And, are you in the US or across the pond?
    Peace,
